Welcome

The English Lake District is a unique location for recreation and discovery - a place where artists and writers have sought inspiration for centuries. While wandering along the shores or tramping the fells you will be inspired by the lakes and fells for which this part of Northern England is renowned.

Lakes Breaks

If you’re looking for a corner of the UK with breath-taking scenery, comfortable accommodation, a variety of different outdoor activities and a relaxing atmosphere then you should check out the Lake District. From the numerous lakes, rivers and tarns to the majestic fells of the Cumbrian mountains, there’s much to do for the outdoor enthusiast. Many people come to the Lake District to walk the fells following the guides of the legendary Wainwright – but it would be a mistake to think of The Lakes as just a place to walk.
