Situated in the Lake District, Keswick is one of the most beautiful little towns in the Cumbria region. It is renowned not only for it's mines but also for the spectacular vistas it offers the many tourists who throng this region. You can enjoy driving or taking a boat around the lake or just walking through the area. The guided walks through this region will take you through farming hamlets and mountains and fells.

Among the other renowned attractions of Keswick we have the Mining Museum which traces the history of Keswick's main occupation, and the very interesting and unusual Pencil Museum, which covers the famous pencils of the Lake District. The Cars of the Stars Motor Museum showcases cars used in television and films. They also have the excellent Keswick Museum and Art Gallery which was built in the nineteenth century.

A round trip around the lake is highly recommended in order to really enjoy the beauty of Derwent Water. If you are interested in water sports then at the Derwent Marina you can indulge in sports such as kayaking and canoeing.

Shoppers will find many items of interest in this lovely little town. Postcard prints by local artists are very popular and so are artist's materials. There are clothing stores and small independent stores which have many lovely gifts and knock knacks for sale.
