Pea Top farm Cottage
The cottage sleeps four. A large porch with church pew. Bedroom 1 with double bed or twin beds. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. 1 bathroom with over bath shower.Fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, iron and ironing board. Combined living room/kitchen with fold down table & chairs with settee & easy chairs, flat screen TV/DVD + WFI. Complementary pack (local bacon, our own eggs and wine) Linen and towels provided and changed weekly. Decking area with patio table. The cottage has its own private entrance off the farm’s courtyard. Pets accepted (with in reason.)Minimum stay 3 nights. Weekly rates: Low season £225.00. Mid season £300.00. High season £350.00.
We found the Eden Valley by chance, and it is surprising how many people still do not know of its existence.The stunning views of the fells especially at sun set as you drive along the roads is breath taking.
Pea Top Farm Culgaith is 15mins from junction 40 M6 and we are just 20 mins from Ullswater and from there, over the Kirkstone pass into Windermere. When you have had enough of the maddening crowd you come back to the peace and tranquillity of Culgaith surrounded by the hills of the Pennines and the lakes.
Pea Top is no longer a working farm but we do have a five acre field with two horses and Fifty hens, the cottage it self was converted in 2009 from the old out buildings which originally housed some of the farm animals.
We also have a pub in the village with in walking distance from the cottage & B&B which serves very good food.
The River Eden is not far from us and neither is Acorn Bank (National Trust) where there are some wonderful walks.
The town of Penrith is 7 miles away and Appleby is 8 miles.
